BMCU supporting ANZAC commemoration meeting

An opportunity to participate in a public meeting to coordinate and plan the 100 year commemoration of the ANZACS in Moorabool

May 7, 2013

 7.30 pm

Myrniong Public Hall

Short St, Myrniong

A number of groups have begun to plan the 100 year anniversary of the ANZACs. We would like to coordinate and support the plans of all groups, outline the bigger Shire projects and create a number of working parties to achieve our activities.

Over the next 5 years 2013-2018 we have an opportunity to create, plan and commemorate within the Moorabool Shire a number of significant dates to remember the Anzacs. We also have an opportunity to develop a long lasting legacy to complement our existing memorials. This meeting will present some of the plans that are in place and develop the opportunities available.

Please bring along your ideas, your enthusiasm and your desire to be involved.

25th April 2015 - Start of Gallipoli campaign
16th July 1916 – Battle of Fromelles
10th August 2018 – Planting of Bacchus Marsh Avenue of Honour
11th November 2018 – Armistice Day
