The Group’s Objectives :
· To have a community working together to achieve common objectives.
· To engage with the community to develop and coordinate initiatives and
projects.
· To be broadly representative and link to community and business groups to assist and support initiatives.
· To develop, enhance and provide strong leadership by the community, in the community and for the community.
A number of Open Community Meetings and a workshop were held between August and October 2008.
Outcomes from the workshop were the following identified priorities:
· To work with Bacchus Marsh & District Trails Advisory Committee to further develop the establishment of tracks and trails
· To work with relevant groups and organisations to develop cycling / walking strategies, for our children, commuters and tourists
· To work with local artists, schools and the Arts, Culture & Events Committee to deliver community and street art into Bacchus Marsh
· To encourage the development of community sporting and recreation facilities and
community spaces
· To work with local traders and community in support of a plastic bag free Bacchus Marsh
